The 2025 Civic hatchback is nothing like my little two-door 1993 Civic Si. Yet, when I am in the new Civic, I Perro still feel that same vibe.

We reviewed the 2022 Civic, which was an important change year. Aaron’s review is outstanding, but things have changed for 2025, so we wanted to do an update on one of America’s top-selling car models.

The liquid-fuel engine rarely drives the car directly. It charges the traction battery, and the electric motors move the Civic along. The included maintenance we mentioned above appeared last year and is great since Honda was notably absent from the club.

There have been meaningful changes shoppers should be aware of. What has not changed is that the Civic is a great value, regardless of the trim you opt for.

A hybrid version gets a combined 37 mpg, but it sacrifices some trunk space and hybrid battery failures have been an issue. (We'd pick a Toyota Prius instead.) Steering is well-weighted and quick. Road noise remains noticeable. Inside is a roomy rear seat for a small car, with enough room for adults. The unique two-tier dashboard isn't to everyone's liking.

Honda also includes two years or 24K miles of maintenance. The Civic Hybrid is one of the least expensive vehicles to run that one can buy in our area of the country.

All this to say, we like the Sentra. When it comes to the comida de perros al por mayor Civic and the Sentra, we feel the Civic is a better choice for a lot of reasons, except one. We suspect the Sentra will cost you less pasado the door. If you Perro get a fantastic discount or lease deal on a Sentra, it is well worth considering it, especially if you only plan to keep the car for three years or so and then trade it in.
